First Place: Alternative Decks $151k-$250k
In this Alternative Decks project, the team transformed a backyard into the ultimate outdoor living space. They restructured the deck to an open concept, expanding it to provide unobstructed views of the pool by installing frameless glass illuminated panel railings. Additional features include motorized screens, a matching ceiling under the deck with recessed heaters, and a kitchen area covered by a louvered roof pergola with a sheer rain curtain over the pool entry. A secondary freestanding deck across the pool, using the same materials and covered with another louvered roof pergola, complements the main deck.
Second Place: Hardscape
In this project, Majestic Outdoors demonstrated their expertise in integrating hardscape elements into outdoor living spaces. The design features a harmonious blend of natural stone and wood, creating a seamless transition between the deck and the surrounding landscape. The use of high-quality materials and attention to detail resulted in a functional and aesthetically pleasing hardscape that complements the home’s architecture and provides a durable, low-maintenance outdoor area for the homeowners to enjoy.
Second Place: Pool Deck
Majestic Outdoors earned second place in the Pool Deck category for a project that seamlessly integrates a pool with the surrounding outdoor living space. Third Place: Limitless Creation
Demonstrating their ability to push the boundaries of design, the team secured third place in the Limitless Creation category. This project features a reimagined deck with an open concept, expanded to offer unobstructed pool views through frameless glass illuminated panel railings. The original deck in an Alternative Decks category was in terrible condition, with collapsed stairs and weak spots marked by cones for safety. The homeowner wanted better access to their water features and a spa with privacy, leading to a curved deck design with an arched bridge, custom railings, and curved stairs. The demolition and construction process involved weeks of careful planning, problem-solving, and precise execution. In the end, the completed project tested the team’s skills and left the homeowner thrilled with a deck they now enjoy year-round.
Third Place: Alternative Decks $36k-$70k
In this project, Majestic Outdoors crafted a curved deck design tailored to the homeowners’ desire for architectural interest and functionality. The curved balcony extends the existing space, flowing seamlessly into a grilling area with planters, creating a harmonious blend of aesthetics and practicality. The addition of a louvered roof pergola ensures the space can be enjoyed in various weather conditions, providing a versatile outdoor living area.
